Scientific Colloquium Development and Cooperation between the Eastern Partnership Countries, Romania-Ukraine

On November 25-26, 2019, representatives of the Institute visited the Romanian Cross-border Institute of International Science and Criminal Justice of Galati University. The delegation included the First Deputy Director Mykola Popov, the Head of the Public Administration and Regional Studies Chair Liudmyla Prykhodchenko, the professor of the Economic and Financial Policy Department Mykola Mykolaychuk, the senior Lecturer of the Public Administration and Regional Studies Department Olena Lesyk and the PhD student of the Public Administration and Regional Studies Department Ivan Komarovskyi. During the first day of the meeting, representatives of the Institute and representatives of the Romanian Cross-Border Institute discussed the key aspects of cooperation and outlined the prospects for further cooperation. Moreover, were presented and discussed the key projects for joint implementation by both parties. On November 26, 2019, the Colloquium Development and Cooperation between the Eastern Partnership Countries, Romania-Ukraine was held, where the ORIPA NAPA representatives performed the monograph, published in cooperation with the Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences of the Lower Danube University, was held. Representatives of the institute drew key aspects of the research and the prospects for further scientific exploration. The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences, Professor Florin Tudor moderated the presentation. The reports were of interest to the scientific community and a lively discussion began between the participants. The results of the meeting outlined the prospects for further cooperation and joint scientific research.





Director of the Institute met with the representatives of the Consulate General of the Peoples Republic of China in Odesa

On December 26, 2019, the Director of the Institute professor Mykola Izha, held a working meeting with the representatives of the Consulate General of China in Odesa. The parties summarized the cooperation results and outlined the main achievements in the development of Chinese-Ukrainian academic relations in 2019. In particular, due to the support by the Consulate General of the Peoples Republic of China in Odesa, the Institutes representatives twice had the opportunity to participate in scientific events in China. Joint educational projects with Chinese diplomats have also been planned for 2020. At the end, the parties exchanged New Years greetings and wished success in the professional field.





Representatives of the Institute attended the presentation of the monograph The city of Izmail and its fortification (according to the sources of XVI-XIX century)

On December 11, 2019, the representatives of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova, Daria Suslina and Acting Head of the Library Olha Kudriavtseva attended a presentation of a monograph by Ukrainian and Turkish authors Andrii Krasnozhon and Mehmet Tutuncu. The event was organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Odesa and the Odesa National Scientific Library. At the beginning of the presentation, the Consul General the Republic of Turkey in Odesa, Mr. Sadin Ayildiz congratulated the participants and emphasized the Turkish-Ukrainian potential in the field of historical research. Prominent local ethnographers of Odesa region also made a welcome speech. The event was moderated by Irina Biryukova, Director General of the Odesa National Scientific Library. Representatives of diplomatic missions, academics, media and others were also present at the event. At the conclusion of the presentation, the representatives of the institute on behalf of the director of the institution Mykola Izh thanked the organizers for the invitation.





Researchers of the Institute participated in an international conference in Romania

On December 06, 2019, representatives of the Institute participated in the International Conference International Development and Democratization, held at the University of Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Iasi (Romania). Scholars from Moldova, Germany, Romania and Ukraine attended the conference. The PhD students Demianchuk Ihor, Yukhnenko Mariia, Psarova Olha and Tomashchuk Yuliia took part in the conference. The scientific event, organized by the Faculty of Philosophy and Socio-Political Sciences, was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Berlin Wall fall and the end of communist regimes in Central and South-Eastern Europe. At the opening of the conference, the Ambassador of Germany to Romania, Cord Meier-Klodt, in his welcoming address, emphasized that during this period there were events that led to the establishment of democracy and the reunification of the continent. During the visit, the postgraduate students of the institute had an opportunity not only to make presentations but also to take part in the work of the section where topical issues related to Britains exit from the EU and migration were discussed. They also talked to professors of Romanian University and got acquainted with the specialized student adaptation center. Ukrainian researchers on behalf of the director of the institute Mykola Izha, thanked for the invitation to the conference, and expressed their hope for further development of cooperation in the scientific field.





The director of the institute took part in the festive reception on the occasion of Romania Day

On November 29, 2019, at the invitation of the Consulate General of Romania in Odessa, the Director of the Institute, Mykola Izha, and the Head of the International Cooperation Department, Natalia Nefedova, attended the solemn event on the occasion of the National Day of Romania and the celebration of the 101st anniversary of the Grand Unification. The event was attended by representatives of the Odesa region's public authorities, diplomatic missions, Romanian and Ukrainian higher education institutions, clergy, media, and the Romanian diaspora in Odesa. The event was held in the concert hall Victory Gardens. Greetings were delivered by the Romanian Consul General in Odessa Emil Rapcea, as well as representatives of public authorities of the South of Ukraine. During his speech, the doyen of the diplomatic corps in Odessa thanked the guests for their attention to the main national holiday of his country and stressed that Romania, as a member of NATO, will continue to assist friendly Ukraine in strengthening its defense capacity and upholding national interests. In turn, representatives of public authorities emphasized the importance of further strengthening friendly neighborly relations between peoples and the active development of projects in the context of cross-border cooperation. Mykola Izha personally congratulated the Consul General on the occasion of National Day of Romania and expressed confidence in the further development of cooperation.





Representatives of the Institute participated in the International Youth Forum

Between November 15 and 19, 2019 students of the Faculty of Public Management and Administering Darina Popova and Denys Kravchenko participated in the International Youth Forum Dialogue 2019 held in Batumi, Georgia. The event was funded by the LEPL Youth Regional Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Adjarian Autonomous Republic and brought together 50 representatives from 20 countries. The purpose of the forum was to create a platform for youth dialogue to communicate effectively and jointly address youth issues. During the event, representatives of the Institute were actively involved in discussing, identifying and finding solutions to youth policy issues. The project brought together representatives of different religions and cultures to create the right conditions for development and guarantees for accomplishing the creative potential of young people. At the end of the forum, Darina Popova and Denys Kravchenko received certificates.





Visit of the Royal Norwegian Honorary Consul

On November 20, 2019, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Norway in Odessa - Oleg Fomychov paid a working visit to the Institute. During the meeting with the head of the institution Mykola Izha, the Honorary Consul received information on the activities of the Institute, civil servants training, implementation of cultural and educational projects and international activities. The director of the institute made suggestions on starting bilateral cooperation with higher education institutions in Norway. For his part, Mr. Fomychov thanked for the invitation to the institute and expressed readiness to establish cooperation in the academic field. In addition, the Honorary Consul was introduced to the activities of the Institute and gave a lecture on the topic: Difficult is something that can be done immediately. The impossible needs a little more time. The participants of the event, including students, researchers and staff, learned about the history of the Scandinavian state, its prominent personalities, as well as investment projects implemented in Ukraine by Norwegian companies.





German urban expert delivered a lecture

On November 19, 2019, the Institute's bachelors and Ph.D. students met with Norbert Neuhaus Doctor of Economics, former Vice-Mayor of the German city of Trier, urban expert and author of the book Values of Christian Democracy. During the lecture, Dr. Neuhaus told the audience about his activities during his occupation as Vice-Mayor and revealed the basics of the concept of Areas of the Future: Housing, Work, and Vacation. During the meeting a constructive discussion was held between the German expert and the future managers on the possibilities of introducing foreign experience in the development of urban infrastructure in Ukraine.





The International Photo Exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China foundation was held at the institute

On November 6, 2019, the grand opening of the International Photo Exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China took place at the institute which was the second institution in the city honored to host it. The Director of the ORIPA NAPA Mykola Izha opened the event with a welcome speech. He emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the PRC, and thanked the representatives of the Consulate General of the PRC in Odessa for fruitful cooperation, which has lasted for more than 12 years. He also noted that during his visits to China in 2013, 2014 and 2018, he was able to assess the rapid development and prosperity of the Chinese people made possible by wise leadership decisions and diligent work. Vice-Consul General Mrs. Chen Yuyuzun visited the Institute to open the photo exhibition. In her speech, the diplomat said that the photo-exposition reveals significant events in China's history: political and economic reforms, as well as scientific achievements that have influenced the world economy. Mrs. Chen Yuyuzun also conducted a tour for the attendees, explaining in detail the events depicted in the photos and their significance for the Chinese people. Representatives of the consulate, deputy directors, deans of faculties, students and staff of the institute also participated in the event.





The director of the institute opened the event, organized jointly with the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

On November 4, 2019 the training module Foreign Policy of Ukraine and features of cooperation with international partners, organized jointly with the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was opened at the institute. The event was attended by employees of Vinnytsa, Kirovograd, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Chernivtsi oblast state administrations and local self-government bodies involved in external relations as well as the institutes staff. The seminar was opened by the Director of the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine Mykola Izha and the Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the MFA Yevgeniya Gaber. In his welcoming speech Mykola Izha emphasized that this event is the first stage of realization of the Cooperation Agreement between the institute and the Diplomatic Academy and thanked Mrs. Gaber for the initiative on partnership between the institutions. He also emphasized the relevance of the training program for understanding the geopolitical situation and the basic principles of Ukraine's foreign policy. In her turn, Yevgeniya Gaber greeted the participants of the seminar, thanked for the opportunity to implement joint projects at the institute and wished productive work. The purpose of the two-day study module is to train public officials in strategic communication skills, implementation of international projects, conducting high-level international events and more.





The director of the Institute celebrated the 96th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic

On October 29, 2019, at the invitation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Odessa, Director of the Institute Mykola Izha and the representatives of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova and Andrii Maiev, attended a reception on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey. Among the guests of the event at the Bristol Hotel were representatives of public authorities, diplomatic missions, higher education institutions, and the media. During the official part, the solemn speeches were delivered by the Consul General of the Turkish Republic in Odessa, Mr. Sadin Ayildiz and representatives of public authorities. Mykola Izha personally congratulated the Consul General on the national holiday, noted the importance of the Institute's cooperation with its Turkish partners and expressed his hope for further mutually beneficial cooperation





The Institute joined the discussion on Euro-Atlantic integration

On October 23, at the invitation of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia in Odesa and Odesa region, Mr. Oleh Veretennikov, the representatives of the International Cooperation Department took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia.

International Scientific - Practical Conference Civil Service: Current State and Prospects for Development

On October 22-23, 2019, the Dean of the Public Management and Administering Faculty Ihor Kuspliak, participated in the International Scientific and Practical Conference Civil Service: Current State and Prospects for Development held in Minsk (Belarus). The conference was organized by the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter ? the Academy) together with the Astana Hub in the field of public service and the Council of Europe.





Director of Alliance Francaise in Odessa visited the Institute

On October 21, 2019, Polina Bilous, Director of Alliance Frances in Odesa, paid a working visit to the Institute. During the meeting with the institution director Mykola Izha, the head of the French organization received information about the activities of the Institute, current challenges in the field of civil servants training, implementation of cultural and educational projects and international contacts. The importance of continuing the cooperation between the ORIPA NAPA and its French partners, which was always supported by the French Embassy in Ukraine and the Alliance Francaise in Odesa, was particularly emphasized. Mykola Izha expressed proposals for intensification of bilateral cooperation concerning the involvement of French interns, video conferences, photo exhibitions related to the culture of France, visits of French diplomats, public officials and scientists, etc.





Foreign scientists participated in the Institute's annual conference

On October 11, 2019, the representatives of partner institutions Bogdan Stefanachi and Simona Vranceanu (Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iasi, Romania), Tatiana Tofan and Tatiana Saptefrati (The Academy of Public Administration in the Republic of Moldova, Chisinau) visited the Institute. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the All-Ukrainian Scientific-Practical Conference Public Administration: Traditions, Innovations, Global Trends, which was held on the basis of the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine, traditionally uniting leading scientists and practitioners from public authorities.





International videoconference was held at the institute

On October 09, 2019 a round table was held in the format of a videoconference between the Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine and the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. The Director of the Institute Mykola Izha and the Rector of the Academy Palchyk Henadzi addressed with greetings from the Ukrainian and Belarusian sides. They welcomed all the participants of the event, thanked them and praised the cooperation that has been implemented under the bilateral Agreement between educational institutions.





Representative of the institute took part in the educational forum of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine

Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine On October 03-04, 2019 at the invitation of the Ukrainian Reforms Education Center, Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova participated in the Forum of the European Union Networks and the Euroschool, which was held in Kyiv. During the event, participants had the opportunity to talk with the officials of the EU, its Member States, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and independent experts. The newly appointed Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine Matti Maasikas, was invited to open the Forum and delivered a welcoming speech. Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Hanna Novosad, as well as the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Oleksandr Yarema were the guests of the event and participated in the panel discussion EU and Ukraine in an era of changes. The event was moderated by Volodymyr Yermolenko, a participant in EUVP programs, an expert at Internews-Ukraine. During the project, EU opportunities in various fields, in particular the new grant educational programs were presented. The participants of the Forum also joined the work in different sections and presented their own vision of educational reforms. At the end of the Forum, Nataliia Nefodova had the opportunity to talk with the Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Matti Maasikas, and discuss the possibilities of further cooperation.





The institute was represented at the International Francophone Conference

On October 03-04, 2019 Associate Professor of the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Chair Andrii Maiev took part in the Third International Francophone Conference in Ukraine, held at the Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University. The event brought together more than 200 scientists from 20 countries. The ORIPA NAPA representative made a presentation at the sections of law, political and social sciences and received a diploma of a conference participant.





Director of the institute visited the solemn event on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China foundation

On September 26, 2019, a solemn reception was held at the Bristol Hotel to mark the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China foundation. The Director of the Institute Mykola Izha, Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova and Associate Professor of the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Chair Andrii Maiev took part in the festive reception organized by the Consulate General of the Peoples Republic of China in Odesa. After performing the hymns of China and Ukraine, the speech was held by Consul General of the People`s Republic of China in Odesa Sun Liucun. The diplomat emphasized that the creation of the state in 1949 was a great importance for the entire Chinese people, and noted that the People's Republic of China from a backward agrarian country became one of the world leaders. The achievements of modern China were demonstrated in a small video story Chinese Dream.





Representatives of the Institute visited the Jewish Cultural Center Beit Grand

On September 19, 2019, the representatives of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefeodova and Daria Suslina visited an event organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Odessa together with the Odessa Regional Association of Jews Former Prisoners of Ghetto and Nazi Concentration Camps. The event was held at the Jewish Cultural Center Beit Grand. The occasion was dedicated to commemorating the victims of the Jewish peoples tragedy during the Holocaust and the nobility of those who helped them to survive. At the commencement of the event, the audience was greeted, by the Consul General of Turkey in Odessa, Sadin Ayyildiz, and the Chairman of Odessa Regional Association of Jews Former Prisoners of the Ghetto and Nazi Concentration Camps Roman Shvartsman. The guests were offered a viewing of the documentary "Turkish Passport", which is dedicated to the stories of Turkish diplomats who, by the risking of their lives, saved many Jews people during World War II. Upon completion of the event, the representatives of the International Cooperation Department, on behalf of the Director of the Institute Mykola Izha, expressed their condolences to the representatives of the Jewish Diaspora and thanked the Consul General of Turkey in Odessa for the invitation.





Visit of Polish educators to the institute

From 02 to 09 September 2019, the representatives of the Institute of Law, Administration and Management of the University named after Jan Dlugosz in Czestochowa (Poland) passed an internship in the Institute. The delegation included the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Ewelina Zelasko-Makowska, the Deputy Dean, Dr. Monika Bartnik, and the doctoral student of the institution Marek Makowski. The purpose of the visit was to exchange experience in public administration, as well as to present and discuss proposals for cooperation between higher education institutions.





The II Ukrainian-Polish Autumn School was held at the Institute

Between September 9-13, 2019, the Institute hosted the II Ukrainian-Polish Autumn School, which was implemented within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement with the University of Bialystok (Poland). On September 9, at the grand opening of the event, which was attended by eight representatives of the Polish HEI, the Director of the Institute Mykola Izha, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business Technologies Violetta Vishnevska and Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefedova addressed to the participants with welcoming speeches. From the Polish side, the audience was greeted and wished the productive work by Dr. Jaroslaw Matwiejuk Rector's Proxy for Cooperation with Eastern European Universities.





Representatives of the Institute took part in the international summer school in Germany

From 05 to 16 August, 2019, the representatives of the Institute participated in the summer school Public Administration in a Multilevel System. The project was implemented in the framework of a joint masters program between the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer (Germany) and the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia). The summer school was funded by Federal Foreign Office and Volkswagen Foundation. 50 young professionals from Ukraine, Germany and Georgia, including students, graduate students and staff members of the Institute took part in the program, which was conducted at the German University.





Representatives of the Institute visited the Odessa City Council


On July 26, 2019, representatives of the International Cooperation Department, as well as Carlotta Jost a student of Munich FOM University of Applied Sciences (Germany), currently intern in the institute, visited the Odessa City Council. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the structure of the executive bodies of the city council and the main directions of the institution's activity.
Carlotta Jost student of the dual education system and works at the Munich City Administration. Due to this, during the meeting, German intern and representatives of the International Cooperation and Marketing Department of the Odesa City Council had the opportunity to exchange working experience of local self-government bodies in Ukraine and Germany. Conclusively, Ukrainian colleagues made an excursion, told about the history of creation and functioning of the City Council building.





Solemn signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the All-Ukrainian Center for Bulgarian Culture in Odessa and the Institute


On July 24, 2019, the solemn signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the All-Ukrainian Center of Bulgarian Culture in Odessa and the Odessa Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine took place.





Representative of the institute took part in Shanghai Visiting Program for Young Sinologists 2019(VPYS 2019 in Shanghai)


On the June 16 to July 6, 2019, the associate professor of the State Studies and Law Department Ielyzaveta Lvova successfully completed the courses at the Programs of Exchanges for Young Sinologists at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (Shanghai, the Peoples Republic of China).





Representatives of the institute took part in the international summer school in Germany


From 17 to 25 June 2019, representatives of the Institute participated in the German-Ukrainian-Kazakh Summer School "Crisis and Reforms, Rule of Law and Democracy" in Berlin (Germany).
The educational event was conducted in the partner institution the Higher School of Economics and Law with funding of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).





Director of the Institute visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey


On July 15, 2019, the Director of the Institute Mykola Izha and the Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Odesa to commemorate during the Turkish military putsch. Among the attendees, there were also some representatives of public authorities, diplomatic missions, educational institutions, and mass media.
At the beginning of the event, representatives of public authorities expressed condolences to the Turkish people and emphasized their courage and love to their country during the events of July 15-16, 2016. In turn, the Consul General of Turkey, Sadin Ayyildiz, thanked the attendees for their support and briefed the participants on the coup attempt and its tragic consequences.
Upon completion of the event, the Director of the institute, Mykola Izha, signed the request and wished peaceful future for citizens of the Republic of Turkey.




Representatives of the Institute visited the event European educational programs for Ukraine and opportunities for cooperation with the Delegation of the EU to Ukraine


On July 4, 2019, a meeting of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine took place, which was held in the Odesa Regional State Administration. It was attended by the Representatives of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa Regional State Administration and Odesa educational institutions. The event took place within the framework of the information campaign Building Europe in Ukraine.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the International Cooperation Department Natalia Nefodova and Daria Suslina, as well as Svitlana Ovcharenko, Professor of the Humanitarian and Socio-Political Studies Department, and Victor Komarovskyi, associate professor of the Global Studies, European Integration and State Security Management Department.
The event was opened by Evgeniya Volynets, Director of the Investments, International and Interregional Cooperation Department of the Odesa Regional State Administration, after which the staff of the EU Delegation to Ukraine delivered presentations, the main objective of which was to raise awareness among European scientists about the policy of the European Union and the opportunities for higher education in Europe.
Upon completion of the event, a lively discussion took place between the participants, after which the representatives of the institute received certificates of the Delegation of the EU in Ukraine.




The student of the institute joined the German-American summer school


In May-June 2019, the Management and Public Administering Faculty student Victoria Demidchik-Asarzhi participated in the international summer school "On the Rhine" (OTR), based at the German University of Administrative Sciences, Speyer (Germany). The Sol Price School of Government at the University of Southern California (USA) and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University (USA) were the co-organizers of the event.
During the summer school the participants attended the courses of European integration, public policy, public administration, and German federalism.
In addition to theoretical knowledge, the representative of the institute also visited the main European Union institutions in Brussels and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. The program for the multinational delegation included cultural leisure activities: a tour of Berlin and historical and cultural monuments, visits to the Bundestag and the Holocaust Memorial.
At the end of the summer school Victoria Demidchik-Asarzhi received six credits and a certificate. The acquired knowledge will be used while writing the master's thesis.




Director of the Institute visited the Consulate General of the Peoples Republic of China in Odessa


On June 27, 2019, the Director of the Institute, Mykola Izha, visited the Consulate General of the Peoples Republic of China in Odessa where he met the head of the diplomatic mission, Mr. Sun Liucun and the staff members Mrs. Chen Yuyuzun and Mr. Wu Mengnan.
From the side of ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine, the meeting was attended by the First Deputy Director Mykola Popov, Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova and Associate professor of the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Chair Andrii Maiev.
Mykola Izha informed Chinese diplomats on the main events that took place in the institute in the recent period and noted the successful visit of the Beijing Administrative Institute delegation to Odessa in June 2019.
The Director expressed his sincere gratitude for the support by the Consulate General for cooperation with Chinese partners and the participation of the institution representatives in educational and scientific visits to China.

The solemn signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation

On June 25, 2019, the solemn signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Consulate of Georgia in Odessa, the Georgian Cultural and Educational Center Iveria and the Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine took place. The event was attended by Mykola Izha - Director of the Institute, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Tornike Berekashvili Consul-Head of the Consulate of Georgia in Odessa, Shorena Gegeshidze Head of the Georgian Cultural and Educational Center Iveria, Tetiana Folhina Head of Communication Department, Nataliia Nefodova Acting Head of International Cooperation Department and Anastasiia Rokotianska Leading Specialist of the Regional Policy and Public Administration Department.




A round table Experience of civil servants training in Ukraine and China was held at the Institute

On June 19, 2019, during a visit of the Beijing Administration Institute (BAI) delegation to the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine a round table was held on the topic Experience of civil servants training in Ukraine and China. The event was attended by Director of the Institute Mykola Izha, Vice President of BAI Mr. Wu Bing, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Odessa Mr. Sun Liucun, Officer-in-Charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in Odessa Serhii Orlov, as well as teaching staff and graduate students of partner institutions. The event was opened by the director of the institute, Mykola Izha, who congratulated the participants, noted the importance of the partnership with the BAI and emphasized the role of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in establishing bilateral contacts, which resulted in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in 2013. In turn, Mr. Wu Bing thanked for the invitation and rich program, and also emphasized the relevance of the round table theme. Mr. Sun Liucun and Serhii Orlov, who also made salutatory speeches, wished productive work and promised to continue to promote the development of educational projects. Vice President Mr. Wu Bing and Mrs. Yu Shuping were the main speakers at the event. They spoke about the peculiarities of civil servants training in BAI and the library's work, as well as answered questions from the audience. Summing up, the moderator of the round table, the director of the institute, Mykola Izha thanked the participants for their active work and expressed his hope for further development of the cooperation with the Chinese partners.





Round-table discussion Regional Projections of Global Transformations

On June 18, 2019, at the invitation of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (DAU), the Institute representatives: associate professors of the Global Studies, European Integration and Security Management Department Nataliia Kaduk and Olena Kryvtsova, as well as a Leading Specialist of the International Cooperation Department Daria Suslina visited a round table on the topic Regional Projections of Global Transformations.





Delegation of the Beijing Administration Institute visited Odessa

From June 15 to June 19, 2019 the delegation of the Beijing Administration Institute (hereinafter - BAI) paid a working visit to the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine. The delegation consisted of six people, headed by the Vice President of the institution, Mr. Wu Bing. On June 16, the delegation members were invited to a meeting with the Director of the institute Professor Mykola Izha. He sincerely greeted the Chinese guests, acquainted them with the visit program and expressed his hope for its successful realization. The head of the institute provided information on the system of civil servants training in Ukraine, the main directions of activity of the National Academy of Public Administration and its regional institutes. Mykola Izha emphasized the importance of developing international cooperation and noted the dynamic development of the relations with Chinese partners.




The director of the Institute met with the General Consul of Greece in Odesa

On Jun 10, 2019, the Director of the Institute Mykola Izha met with the Consul General of Greece in Odessa, Mr. Alexios-Marios Lberopulos. During the meeting, the head of the institute thanked for the invitation to the ceremonial reception on the occasion of the National holiday of Greece. Besides Mykola Izha provided information on the system of training of managerial staff in Ukraine and the main directions of activity of higher education institution. On his part, the Consul General thanked for the invitation to the institute and expressed his willingness for established cooperation in the academic field during his diplomatic mission in Odessa. During the meeting were discussed the directions of development of cooperation between the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine and the Consulate General. After the meeting, First Deputy Director Mykola Popov and Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova introduced the Greece diplomat to the technical facilities and the educational process of the institute.






The delegation of the institute visited the University of Bialystok

On May 19 26, 2019, the group of representatives of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine in a group of 8 people, studied at the III Polish-Ukrainian Law Spring School at Bialystok City University, which was carried out within the framework of the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation between partner institutions. The delegation included associate professor of the Department of Management of Organizations Natalia Akimenko, associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Andrey Mayev, post-graduate students and students of the Faculty of Management and Business Technologies.






The director of the institute had visited an official reception on the occasion of the Independence Day of Georgia

On May 24, 2019, at the invitation of the Consul of Georgia in Odessa, the director of the institute Mykola Izha and Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova took part in festive reception on the Independence Day of Georgia. The event was held at the summer garden of the House of Scientists. The guests of the event were representatives of public authorities, foreign diplomatic missions, HEI, clergy, mass media, as well as representatives of the Georgian diaspora in Odessa. Speeches on the occasion of the public holiday were held by the Consul of Georgia in Odessa Tornike Berekashvili as well as the representatives of public authorities of the south of Ukraine: deputy head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Svetlana Shatalova, Deputy Mayor of Odesa Pavlo Vuhelman, Ukraines MFA representative in Odesa Sergey Orlov, as well as Agafangel Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail. They wished the development and further strengthening of bilateral relations and friendship between the Georgian and Ukrainian peoples. A concert with traditional songs and dances was organized for the guests of the holiday to get acquainted with the original culture of Georgia. Mykola Izha personally congratulated the Consul on a state holiday, and noted the importance of the Institute's cooperation with Georgian partners, in particular the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University

On thr June 16 to July 6, 2019, the associate professor of the State Studies and Law Department Ielyzaveta Lvova successfully completed the courses at the Programs of Exchanges for Young Sinologists at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (Shanghai, the Peoples Republic of China).






Director of the Institute met with representatives of the University Dunarea de Jos (Galati, Romania)

On May 28, 2019, the director of the institute Mykola Izha held a working meeting with the scientists of the University Dunarea de Jos. The Romanian delegation included the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences Professor Florin Tudor and a professor of the Administrative Sciences and Regional Studies Department, Dr. Valentina Cornea. From the side of the institute, the meeting was attended by First Deputy Director Mykola Popov, Dean of the Faculty of Public Management and Administration IGOR KUSPLYAK, Head of the Department of Public Administration and Regional Studies Liudmyla Prykhodchenko, Head of the Department of Regional Policy and Public Administration Tetyana Pakhomova, Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova and Associate Professor of the Department of Global studies, European Integration and State Security Management Viktor Komarovsky. During the meeting, the representatives of the institutions discussed the development of international academic cooperation through the implementation of scientific projects, and also noted the importance of cooperation in the field of interdisciplinary research. Mykola Izha especially emphasized the presence of practical results of cooperation between partner institutions in the form of joint monographs and expressed his hope for its further development. Representatives of the Romanian delegation met with the scientists of the departments of the Institute to present a joint scientific monograph Public Administration and Practice of Local Development of Eastern Partnership Countries, as well as discussed proposals for joint projects. According to the results of the visit, both sides expressed their gratitude for productive cooperation and hopes for the successful implementation of the reached agreements.






As part of the Erasmus + Staff Mobility For Teaching project, professors from the Project Management Department present a course of open lectures for students from the University of Gdansk.

From 20 to 24 of May, 2019, within the framework of the Erasmus + Staff Mobility For Teaching project, the representatives of the project management department of the Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine were presenting a course of open lectures on sustainable tourism for resort and tourist destinations for Polish students. The head of the department, Dr. in Public Administration, Professor Tetyana Bezvergunyuk and doctor of medical sciences, professor of the department Irina Babova presented lectures to the students of the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography of the University of Gdansk (Poland) on the use of project management tools in spatial planning of coastal areas for the development of resort and tourist Destinations. The Ukrainian partners of the project noted the comfort and high development of the university's infrastructure, a flexible schedule of classes that allows professors and students to pay maximum attention to preparation for classes, as well as technical equipment and the motivation potential of the university library. The visit of the Odesa delegation to Gdansk is long term cooperation between the project management department and the Polish university. One of the results of the partnership was the second International Scientific and Practical Seminar "Spatial Planning of the Maritime Territories: Experience of Poland and Ukraine in the Development of Resort and Tourist Destinations", which took place in ORIPA NAPA 13 - 16 of May.






The representative of the institute took part in a solemn ceremony with the participation of representatives of the Republic of Latvia

On the 21st of May 2019, Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova at the invitation of the Odessa Oblast State Administration took part in the event, during which was signed the Agreement on cooperation between the Odessa Oblast State Administration and the Development Council of the Vidzeme region planning the Republic of Latvia. The event, organized by the Department of Investments, International and Interregional Cooperation, of OOSA, was held on the basis of the Receptions Hall of the Odessa Oblast Council. The ceremony of signing was started by the Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Serhii Koleboshin, who thanked Latvia for always keeping a solid partner in supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Ukrainian state. In the turn, the guests were congratulated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine, Juris Poikans and the Chairman of the Council for the development of the Vidzeme Region, the planning of the Republic of Latvia, Hardis Vents. They also emphasized the potential of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation. The moderators of the meeting were the Director of the Department of Investments, International and Interregional Cooperation OOSA, Evgenia Volynets and the Head of the ME "Bureau of Regional Development" Oleg Kopytchuk. After welcoming speeches from both sides Serhii Koleboshin together with Hardis Vents signed the Cooperation Agreement. During the event, the sides also discussed the areas of cooperation and development of relations not only in the trade, economic, investment, tourism, medical, energy, as well as educational. Nataliia Nefodova discussed with the representatives of the Latvian delegation possible directions of cooperation and thanked the management for the invitation on behalf of the Director of the Institute Mykola Izha.






Representatives of the Institute took part in the project supported by the United States Embassy in Ukraine

During the period from 16 to 18 May 2019, Nataliia Nefodova and Daria Suslina, staff members of the International Cooperation Department, took part in the XIX Annual American Studies Institute, "Elections in the United States: Myths and Facts". The project was implemented by the NGO Lviv Education Initiative with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine based on the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

On the occasion of the celebration of the Europe Day in Odessa on May 20, 2019, students of the Faculty of Public Management and Administering and members of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova and Daria Suslina were attending lecture by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, Chair of the Centre for International Studies Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy Of Ukraine, Andrii Veselovskyi. The event was held at the Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University. Mr. Veselovskyi spoke about the history of the formation of the European Union, the stages of its expansion and the peculiarities of the process of preparation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU based on his own experience of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the EU. At the end of the lecture, between the participants of the event began a lively discussion.






Public Administration in Poland: Tasks and Responsibilities Seminar

On May 13 17, 2019, graduate students and students of the institute, together with the Public Management and Administering Faculty Dean Ihor Kusplyak, and Associate Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Regional Studies Hanna Panchenko took part in the Public Administration in Poland: Tasks and Responsibilities Seminar, which was held at the Lech Kaczynski National School of Public Administration (KSAP, Warsaw). The workshop program was supported by experts from the Department of Civil Service, and the Government Office for Project Monitoring at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and the Eastern Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During a week, the representatives of the institute were studying Polands public administering and civil service system, and got acquainted with the role of KSAP in this system, researched the human resources management system (selection, evaluation, professional development and training), project management practices and investment attraction, took part in training sessions dedicated to social and psychological conditions of corruption, leaders role in management etc. Besides, the Institute representatives, visited the Sejm of Poland where they became acquainted with the process of lawmaking, the structure and activity of parliamentary committees, the relations of the majority and opposition in the Polish parliament. This event was held with the support and financial aid of Study Tours to Poland Program implemented by the Changes Leaders Foundation.

On the 7th of May 2019, Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova took part in a festive reception on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Poland the Constitution Day. The event was held at the Receptions Hall of the Odessa Oblast Council and was organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Odessa. The representatives of the public authorities of the South of Ukraine, foreign diplomatic missions, HEI, clergy, mass media, as well as cultural centers were among the guests invited to this event. Andrzej Szmidtke, the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Odessa, opened the official reception, noting that Polish constitution is one of the oldest in the world. Deputy Chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Vitalyi Svichinskyi, Deputy Mayor of Odessa City Pavel Vuhelman and the Officer-in-Charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in Odessa Serhii Orlov also spoke with greetings. Representatives of public authorities congratulated the Polish people on the national holiday and emphasized the importance of Ukrainian-Polish cooperation in various fields. Nataliia Nefodova, on behalf of the Director of the Institute Mykola Izha, congratulated Mr. Andrzej Szmidtke with the national holiday. She noted the importance of the Institute's cooperation with Polish partners and invited the diplomat to visit the Institute with a working visit.






Representatives of the Institute took part in the event European Union Career Day

On April 25, 2019, students of Management and Business Technologies Faculty participated in the EU Career Days due to the Institutes cooperation with the European Union Information Centre in Odessa. The purpose of the event, which was held within the framework of the project Information Support for Youth EU Network in Ukraine was to inform young people on the ways of professional growth and career opportunities in the context of European integration of Ukraine. During the panel discussion, the participants learned about the world and European trends in professional competencies, as well as the opportunities for exchange trainings and internships. In addition, students received advice from professionals about employment, writing a resume and successful interview. At the end of the event, the representatives of the institute had an opportunity to ask questions and get references about useful electronic resources.






A round table was held at the initiative of the Consulate General of Turkey in Odesa

On April 23, 2019, the round table took place in the institute on the topic Key Principles of Turkey's Foreign Policy in the Context of Global and Regional Challenges organized together with Turkish Consulate General in Odesa. The event was attended by the Institutes Director Mykola Izha, Consul General of Turkey in Odessa Sadin Ayildiz, Deputy Director of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevgeniya Gaber, Head of the Protocol and Interaction with the Diplomatic Institutions of the Department of Investment, International and Interregional Cooperation of the Odessa Regional State Administration Kateryna Marchenko, as well as scientific and teaching staff and students of the institute. Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova was the round table moderator. At the beginning of the event, Mykola Izha, the director of the institute, welcomed the audience and noted the relevance of the topic. The director also emphasized that participation in international scientific and communication events with the participation of diplomats provides an opportunity for young Ukrainian civil servants and managers to gain new knowledge that will promote the development of cooperation and interaction between our countries. In turn, Mr. Sadin Ayildiz thanked for the invitation and emphasized that the Consulate General will continue to promote the development of Ukrainian-Turkish relations in the educational sphere. Moreover, Yevgeniya Gaber and Kateryna Marchenko welcomed the audience and congratulated the representatives of the diplomatic institution on the national holiday. The main speaker of the event was Mr. Sadin Ayildiz, who during the round table gave a presentation on the basic principles of the foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey. In particular, the Consul General spoke about the humanitarian policies and the initiatives implemented by the state leadership, which are the key to peace and reconciliation. This topic is particular relevance in the difficult times for our country. A lively discussion among the participants of the event followed the presentation of the diplomat. The round table provoked the interest of mass-media who interviewed the participants. At the end of the event, the representatives of the Institute expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the diplomatic institution and hopes for the implementation of joint educational projects.






On April 18, 2019

Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine hosted the XX All-Ukrainian Modern Management: Models, Strategies, Technologies Annual Students Scientific and Practical Conference. At the conference, the institute received 205 abstracts. Students of 21 domestic educational institutions attended the conference. The Institute did receive foreign guests representing its foreign partners HEIs, too: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, The Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Moldova and the University of Bialystok (Poland). The participants from Georgia presented their speeches at the plenary and thematic sessions, and the best ones were marked off with diplomas. Afterward, the guests took part in the discussions with their Ukrainian colleagues.






Representatives of the Institute visited the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus

On March 29-30, 2019, Deputy head of the Department for Coordination of Scientific Research and Doctoral Studies Iryna Matvieienko and the student of the Public Management and Administering faculty Kateryna Shelestiuk took part in the First International Forum of Young Administrators. The scientific forum, held in the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk, brought together young scientists from Belorussian and foreign higher education institutions. The event was aimed at the development of research activities among students, postgraduates and young scientists, their involvement in solving the problems of modern science, as well as integration of science, practice and education.






Festive reception on occasion of the National holiday of Greece

On March 25, 2019, the International Cooperation Department Acting Head Nataliia Nefodova took part in the festive reception on occasion of the National holiday of Greece. The event was held at the Receptions Hall of the Odessa Oblast Council and was organized by the General Consulate of Greece in Odessa. The reception was attended by representatives of the public authorities of the South of Ukraine, foreign diplomats, higher educational establishments employees, clergy, journalists, and Greek diaspora in Odessa. The General Consul of Greece in Odessa Mr. Alexisous Liberopoulos in his inauguration speech emphasized the crucial importance of the independent Greek state creation for the whole of the Greek people, and highlighted the old close ties between his country and Odessa. The public authorities representatives also addressed the audience with greetings. The concert program included Greek folk dances and songs that created the atmosphere of real national holiday. On behalf of the Institutes leadership, Nataliia Nefodova greeted the Consul General of Greece in Odessa with the National holiday, and expressed her hope on further bilateral cooperation.






Representatives of the institute attended the festive event on the occasion of the Novruz Bayrami international holiday

On March 20, 2019, at the invitation of the United Congress of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine (hereinafter UCAU), the representatives of the institute visited the festive event on the occasion of the Novruz Bayrami a non-religious holiday of springs arrival according to the astronomical solar calendar of the Iranian and Turkic peoples. The representatives of the UCAU, public authorities, diplomatic missions accredited in Odessa, higher education institutions, non-governmental organizations, national cultural societies and the media were among the guests of the event, held in the Fresh Market shopping center. The institute was represented by the Deputy Director of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Development Mykola Kiseolar, Head of Communication Department Tetiana Folhina and Acting Head of International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova. The event began with the greetings of the UCAU leadership, the Odessa oblast state administration, and diplomatic missions heads. During the holiday, which reflected the traditional values of the Azerbaijani people, songs were performed by the Peoples Artist of Ukraine, the Head of the Azerbaijan Moslim Mahomaiev Cultural Center and the Ambassador of the World Gurban Abbasov. The food court with national dishes and traditional sweets allowing to get acquainted with the cuisine of different regions of Azerbaijan was also organized for the guests. The representatives of the institute, on behalf of the ORIPA NAPA director Mykola Izha congratulated the UCAU leadership on the holiday and discussed further cooperation.






Representatives of the Institute passed internship in Poland

From February 11 to March 01, 2019, Senior Lecturer of Public Administration and Regional Studies Chair Olena Lesyk and Senior Lecturer of Economic and Financial Policy Chair Halyna Kuspliak passed internship at Lech Kaczynski National School of Public Administration (KSAP, Warsaw, Poland) on the topic Content, planning and organization of the educational process at KSAP. Within the framework of the internship program, the peculiarities of the National School of Public Administration activities were considered in detail. The vocational guidance work, recruitment mechanisms and competitive selection stages were considered during the meetings with the KSAP employees. The special features of full-time studies and short-term seminars planning were studied as well. The interns had the opportunity to take part in full-time form lectures and short-term seminars, to attend classes in foreign languages, and to communicate with faculty staff and students. The ORIPA NAPA lecturers received the KSAP certificates of the internship successful completion.






Representatives of the Institute visited the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Moldova

On March 1, 2019 Deputy head of the Department for Coordination of Scientific Research and Doctoral Studies Iryna Matvieienko, Associate professor of the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Chair Andrii Maiev and the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine PhD students Oksana Yelchiieva and Volodymyr Kuleshov took part in the international conference The Contribution of Young Researchers in Public Administration Development. The scientific forum, which was held in the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Moldova (Chisinau), brought together young scientists from Moldova, the Czech Republic, Romania and Ukraine. The representatives of the Institute greeted the audience on behalf of the leadership, made presentations and participated in discussions on topical issues of public administration reforms, local self-government development, civil society formation, European integration and international relations. Besides this, the Ukrainian delegation met with the Academy Rector Oleg Balan and Vice-rector for scientific work Aurel Symbotianu. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of developing bilateral cooperation, in particular in publishing and scientific spheres. The readiness for further publication of the scientific research results in specialized editions, as well as participation in conferences held by partner institutions was confirmed.






The Institute hosted a conference-symposium International-legal aspects of civilian population protection in conditions of armed conflicts

On February 26, 2019, the conference-symposium, organized jointly with the United Congress of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine (hereinafter UCAU) was held at the Institute. The event was devoted to the international-legal aspects of the civilian population protection during armed conflicts.






Director of the institute took part in the solemn event devoted to the 40th anniversary of reforms and openness in China

On February 15, 2019, at the invitation of the Consulate General of the Peoples Republic of China in Odessa, the representatives of the institute visited the festive opening of the photo exhibition devoted to the 40th anniversary of reforms and openness policy in China. The event that took place in the Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art, was attended by the Director of the institute Professor Mykola Izha, Head of the sector for the organization of seminars by state order of the personnel in-service training department Mrs. Nataliia Pryvalova and Acting head of International Cooperation Department Mrs. Nataliia Nefodova. Among the guests there were also the representatives of public authorities of the South of Ukraine, diplomatic missions, educational institutions, mass media, as well as the Chinese diaspora in Odessa.





Director of the Institute met with the representatives of United Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Congress

On February 14, 2019, the Director of the Institute Professor Mykola Izha met with the Joint Congress of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine member, the representative of CJSC Azerbaijani Railways in Ukraine Mr. Natigh Nagiev and the chairman of the United Diaspora of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine Odessa organization Mr. Anar Agaiev. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation development. In particular, agreements were reached on the organization of educational and cultural events in the Institute, aimed at raising the level of mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence among peoples. The participants also expressed their hope for continuing professional contacts and implementing joint projects in the future.

On February 6, 2019, associate professor of the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Chair Andrii Maiev and Leading Specialist of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefodova paid a working visit to the Window on America Center in the Odessa National Scientific Library (ONSL). Window on America is a project of the United States Embassy in Ukraine. The mission of the center is to promote mutual understanding between the USA and Ukraine. During the meeting representatives of the Institute discussed issues related to the new vectors of cooperation development with the Head of International Projects Department of ONSL. According to the results of the meeting priority directions of cooperation between the Information center and the Institute were determined. The parties also reached agreement on joint projects implementation.





The representatives of the Institute have visited the Consulate General of the PRC in Odessa

On January, 31, 2019 Communication Department staff members Andrii Maiev and Nataliia Nefodova met with the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Odesa Mr. Sun Liucun. The representatives of the Institute on behalf of the director Mykhola Izha congratulated the Consul General on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. Also they handed gifts related with Odesa which reflect the picturesque landscapes of the Odessa region. During the meeting the parties discussed prospects for further bilateral cooperation, namely the possibility of organizing Mr. Sun Liucuns speech for the Institute staff. The Chinese diplomat was also expressed gratitude for facilitating the establishment of professional contacts with Chinese partners, assistance in conducting joint communicative events and material support of the Institute. Both parties expressed their hope for the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.





The Institutes representative took part in the international conference in Baku (Azerbaijan)

From January 31 to February 01, 2019, Economic and Financial Policy Chair PhD student Mrs. Nataliia Rozmaritsyna took part in the international conference Model of Azerbaijani Youth Policy, which was held in Baku (Azerbaijan). 45 candidates from 8 countries of the world were selected to participate in the forum. This conference is organised annually with the purpose of involving young people in the process of youth policy implementation and raising awareness about its main directions. The conference program was based on the theoretical material presented by the participants. Besides this, the representatives of state institutions of Azerbaijan delivered lectures in the round table format. The head of the Azerbaijani-American youth association Vugar Akhmedov conducted tours to the Azerbaijani Youth Foundation and the Baku Congress Center. During the conference solemn closing, all foreign participants received certificates and expressed their sincere gratitude to the organizers.





ORIPA NAPA signed an Agreement on Cooperation with Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

On January 04, 2019, the director of the institute Mykola Izha, met with the director of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (hereafter - DAU) Sergiy Korsunsky, the DAU Deputy Director of DAU Yevgeniya Gaber and the Head of the Department for International Cooperation and Communications Olga Rusova. During the negotiations, the Parties presented to each other the main tasks, structure and priority directions of the activities of the institutions, the results achieved by them in recent years and the state of cooperation with international partners. The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation between ORIPA and DAU and discussed the holding of joint scientific and communicative activities in 2019. According to the results of the visit, Mykola Izha and Sergiy Korsunsky signed the Cooperation Agreement between ORIPA and DAU for a five-years-long term, which provides for holding joint projects on professional training and research in the field of international relations. After the signing procedure, the both sides expressed their mutual hope for successful and longstanding cooperation.
