The institute received technical equipment from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Odessa

On December 11, 2018, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Odesa, Sun Liucun, Deputy Consul General Chen Yuyuzun and Vice-Consul Wang Ci visited ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine with a working visit. The purpose of the visit was to take part in the solemn ceremony of the transfer of technical equipment purchased by the Chinese diplomatic institution for the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine.





The delegation of the institute visited to the PRC

During the period from 03 to 08 December 2018, the delegation of the Institute headed by the First Deputy Director of the Institute Mykola Popov was on a working visit to the People's Republic of China. The delegation included: Liudmyla Prykhodchenko (Head of the Public Administration and Regional Studies Department), Svitlana Ovcharenko (Professor of the Humanitarian and Socio-Political Studies Department), Iryna Nagorna (Associate Professor of the Regional Policy and Public Administering Department), Andriy Falkovsky (Associate Professor of the State Studies and Law Department).






Formal reception on the occasion of the National Day of Romania

On December 04, 2018 at the invitation of the Consulate General of the Romania in Odessa the representatives of the Institute attended an official reception on the occasion of the National Day of Romania and 100th anniversary of the Great Unification.







Representatives of the Institute took part in an international conference in Chisinau

On November 23, 2018, the associate professor of the State Studies and Law Academic Department Ielyzaveta Lvova and the post-graduate student of the Economic and Financial Policy Department Nataliia Rozmaritsyna took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference Consolidation of Local Public Administration and European Perspectives of the Republic of Moldova held at the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Moldova in Chisinau. This conference is held annually by the Academy in order to bring together leading scholars from higher education institutions of Moldova and foreign countries. The Ukrainian scientists delivered presentations at the plenary and sectional meetings of the conference and participated in the debates. After the conference, the rector of the Academy of Public Administration Oleg Balan and the head of the Administrative Sciences Academic Department the organizing committee chief, Angela Zelenski expressed their gratitude to all the speakers and presented certificates of conference participation to the foreign guests. On their part, the representatives of the Institute sincerely thanked the organisers for the warm reception and a wonderful organization of the events. Both sides expressed their hopes for the continuation and development of bilateral academic cooperation. Ion Dulschi, Director of the Higher Masters Degrees Department at the Academy, held an excursion to the educational corps for representatives of the Institute, during which they visited the museum exposition, the assembly hall, structural units and educational audiences.




The director of the Institute met with the General Consul of Turkey in Odesa

On November 22, 2018, the Director of the Institute Mykola Izha, and the Communication Department staff met with the Consul General of Turkey in Odessa, Mr. Sadin Ayyildiz. Mykola Izha expressed gratitude for the support of the Consulate General for establishing professional contacts with educational institutions in the Republic of Turkey and assistance in organizing joint activities. Further, the head of the institution provided information on the system of administrative staff training in Ukraine and the main areas of the Institute's activities. On his part, the Consul General thanked the Institute for the invitation and expressed his readiness to continue to support cooperation in the academic field during his diplomatic mission in Odesa. The development of cooperation between the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine and the Consulate General was discussed, and, in particular, an agreement was reached on a future meeting of the Consul General with students. After the meeting, First Deputy Director Mykola Popov introduced the Turkish diplomat to the pedagogical and technical facilities and the educational process of the institute.




Language club with the Institutes intern from the Netherlands

On November 22, 2018, a regular meeting of the Language Club of the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Academic Department took place, the moderators of which were Martijn Ingmar Haas (Intern from the Netherlands, currently working at the Communication Department) and Associate Professor Andrii Maiev. Martijn Ingmar Haas made a presentation on the migration policy of the European Union, which discussed the main provisions of the Schengen Agreement, the current challenges in the field of migration policy in Europe, and the relationship between the EU and neighbouring countries. After the presentation, Andrii Maiev, on behalf of the audience, thanked the speaker and emphasised the new opportunities for academic cooperation that arose from the 2017 implementation of a visa-free regime between the EU and Ukraine.






On November 14, 2018, the Consul of the People's Republic of China in Odesa, Sun Liucun, Deputy Consul General Chen Yuyuzun and Vice-Consul Wang Ci visited ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine. Diplomats met with Director of the institute Mykola Izha and the staff of the Communications Department. The head of the Institute congratulated the Consul General on his appointment to the Odesa post, provided information on the system of training of management personnel in Ukraine and the main areas of the Institute's activities. Also, Mykola Izha commented on the developments in the international cooperation of the Institute and expressed his gratitude for the support from the Consulate General for establishing professional contacts with higher educational institutions in China, in particular, with the Beijing Administrative Institute.





Internship at the Speyer German University of Administrative Sciences

From 05 to 09 November 2018, associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Andrii Maiev and leading specialist of the Communications Department Nataliia Nefodova underwent internship at the German University of Administrative Sciences, Speyer (Germany, Baden-Wurttemberg). The main purpose of the internship, co-funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), was to familiarize with the everyday work of the international office of the university in order to further introduce foreign experience in the work of the Institute and the implementation of joint educational projects.





Formal reception on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Turkey

On May 29, 2018, at the invitation of the Consulate General of the Turkish Republic in Odessa, the director of the institute, Mykola Izha, and leading specialist of the communications department, Nataliia Nefodova, attended the reception on the celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey. Among the guests of the commemoration at the Bristol Hotel were representatives of: public authorities, diplomatic missions, higher education institutions, clergy and the media.






Presentation of academic mobility opportunities for students

On the 23rd of October 2018, an event was held to introduce academic mobility opportunities to students and other participants from the institute. The event was organised at the initiative of the Communications Department. The aim of the event was to raise awareness about international opportunities available to young people and to motivate them to learn foreign languages.






Representative of the institute Nataliia Nefodova took part in an educational programme in Brussels, Belgium

In the period from October 16 to October 20, 2018, Nataliia Nefodova, the Communications Department leading specialist visited Brussels. The representative of the institute is an alumna of the 26th session of EU Study Days, a project which is being implemented by the EU Delegation in Ukraine. Upon completion of the project, the most promising participants of the 2018 sessions were selected on a competitive basis to participate in a study trip to Brussels. During the study visit the participants had an opportunity to become familiar with the work of the main EU institutions, to deepen and broaden their knowledge of the main characteristics of the current European Union and the relationship between Ukraine and the EU. During the visit, Nataliia Nefodova visited the European Parliament, the European Commission, the European External Action Service, the Committee of the Regions, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Delegation of Ukraine to the EU. Additionally, the programme included sessions on the culture, historical heritage and values of the European Union. The participants also met with Ukrainians studying at the College of Europe and learned how to maintain close ties with Ukraine while abroad.




Representatives of the Institute attended the official reception on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia

On October 25, 2018, at the invitation of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Latvia in Odessa, the Communication Department deputy head Tetiana Folgina and associate professor of the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Chair Andrii Maiev attended the official reception on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia. The reception took place in the German Evangelical Lutheran Church and was organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, the Latvian Embassy to Ukraine and the Latvian Honorary Consulate in Odesa and Odesa Oblast.




Representatives of foreign higher education institutions took part in the annual conference of the institute

The All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference Reforming Public Administration: Theory, Practice, International Experience, which took place at the Institute on October 26, 2018, was attended by representatives of foreign higher education institutions.






Representatives of the Institute attended a seminar at the European Union Information Centre

On October 19, 2018, a seminar with the topic The Schengen Area: How secure are the EUs borders? took place at the EU Information Centre at the Odessa National Economic University (ONEU). The seminar was organised in close cooperation with ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine. Andrii Maiev, associate professor at the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Chair and Martijn Haas, intern at the Communications Department and student at the University of Bamberg (Free State of Bavaria, Germany) were among the participants. Martijn Haas was invited as the main speaker of the event.




In honour of Defender of Ukraine Day, an event took place with the title: Not all heroes wear uniforms. During the event, an art exhibition at the Institute was opened. The exhibition consists of a photo exhibition by the name of ETNO photo session and the presentation of several social projects titled: Children ask for peace, Children for peace and My father protects Ukraine.f

On October 9th 2018 the event "Not all heroes wear uniforms" was held at the Institute with the support of the Consulate of Georgia in Odessa. The event consisted of the presentation of the social projects "Children Ask for Peace", "Children for Peace" and the opening of the ETNO photo session of the project "My father protects Ukraine".




A new ERASMUS+ Call for applications for students and staff

Within the framework of the cooperation between the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi (Romania), the representatives of the institute have the opportunity to apply for an academic mobility under the European Union ERASMUS+ program. The offered opportunities are: study mobility for students; staff mobility for teaching; staff mobility for training. Call for applications is open until November 05, 2018. Representatives of the Institute visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Odessa

On October 01, 2018, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Andrii Maiev and Leading Specialist of the Communication Department Natalia Nefyodova attended presentations on internship and study programmes in Bulgaria. The event was held at the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Odessa in cooperation with representatives of Bulgarian universities and the Bulgarian tourism industry. The group of attendees included representatives of higher education institutions in Odessa and other Ukrainian cities. During the event, they received information on internship opportunities, business practises and training opportunities in Bulgaria. The delegation of the Institute received informational material and discussed the prospect of establishing bilateral cooperation with the Varna Free University, which was among the Bulgarian institutions represented at the event.





This academic year's first Language Club session was held on the 27th of September. The moderators of the event were Martijn Haas (intern from the Netherlands) and Mrs. Galina Vasilieva, Senior Lecturer of the Department. The session on "The governance system in the Netherlands" was held in the form of a quiz. Participants of the Language Club enthusiastically answered the questions about geography, culture, politics, and governance in the Netherlands.




The institutes representative has completed a period of training at the Varna Economic University (Bulgaria)

From September 15 to October 01, 2018 Assistant Professor of Public Administration and Regional Studies Chair, Stepan Davtian has completed a period of training at the Varna Economic University (Bulgaria) on the topic: Balance of economic and legal processes in society and business environment in the conditions of globalization. As part of the training programme, Dr. Davtian participated in the conference Ukraine - Bulgaria - European Union: Current State and Future Prospects and spoke at the plenary meeting on the topic: Relationship of crisis management with risk management. After finishing the training, Stepan Davtian received a certificate about the successful participation in both the training and the conference.




Representatives of the Institute attended an official reception organised by the Consulate General of the PRC in Odessa

On the 25th of September 2018 representatives of the Institute were invited by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Odessa to take part in a festive reception. The reception was organised in commemoration of the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 40th anniversary of the introduction of economic reform and openness of China. The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Department of State Studies and Law Volodymyr Maruschak, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Andrii Maiev, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanitarian and Socio-Political Sciences Larysa Kurnosenko and Leading Specialist of the Communications Department Nataliia Nefodova. Among the guests invited to this event were the First Deputy Chairman of the Odessa Regional Council Oleg Radkovsky, Deputy Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Svitlana Shatalova, Deputy Mayor of Odessa, Pavlo Vugelman, heads of higher educational institutions, diplomatic missions, international organizations, mass media and representatives of the Chinese diaspora in Odessa. Zhao Xiangzhong, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Odessa, opened the official reception, noting that over the years she has witnessed how the People's Republic of China went from an underdeveloped country to the second economy of the world. She also emphasized the importance of cooperation with Ukraine which includes the development of Belt and Road Initiative. The speeches of the representatives reflected on the anniversary of the establishment of the Peoples Republic of China and the development and strengthening of cordial relations between the PRC and Ukraine thanks to a policy of openness. One of the speakers subsequently informed the public about the interesting fact that three millionth tourist to visit Odessa was a citizen of the Peoples Republic of China. Andriy Mayev, on behalf of the Director of the Institute Mykola Izha, congratulated Ms. Zhao Xiangzhong with the national holiday. He thanked her for the many years of support of the cooperation between the Institute and its Chinese partners. He expressed his hope for a successful continuation of the partnership in the foreseeable future.




Work meeting with Professor Bauer of the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer

On the 19th of September 2017, First Deputy Director of the Institute Mykola Popov met with Professor Michael Bauer of the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer. During the meeting, Mykola Popov highlighted the results of many years of cooperation between Odessa and Speyer and emphasized the importance of academic exchange programs. The post-graduate student of the Department of Economic and Financial Policy Natalia Rosmaritsina, who has received training in Germany, joined the working meeting. The staff of the Communications Department Andrii Maiev and Natalia Nefyodova familiarised the professor with the facilities of the Institute and discussed possibilities for further cooperation.




Representatives of the Institute visited the Peoples Republic of China

Between the 13th and the18th of September 2018, Director of the Institute Mykola Izha and Head of the Department of State Studies and Law Volodymyr Marushchak took part in a study visit to the Peoples Republic of China. The trip, in which two representatives of the Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University also took part, was organised on the initiative of the General Consul of the PRC in Odessa and aimed at promoting the strengthening the cooperation between the PRC and Ukraine in the educational field. On September 14, according to the itinerary, the Ukrainian representatives visited Shanghai, where they became acquainted with the work of Shanghai University and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. During meetings with the leadership of these Chinese institutions, the Ukrainian representatives were informed about the activities of their Chinese counterparts and discussed possibilities for academic exchanges. On September 16 and 17, members of the delegation visited Jiangxi Province and learnt about the activities of higher education institutions in the region. The group visited China Executive Leadership Academy Jinggngshan, Nanchang University, and the Jiangxi Normal University. At the institutions, they learnt about the main fields of work of these universities and discussed with their Chinese counterparts possibilities for the establishment of professional cooperation. On September 17, representatives of the Institute took part in a working lunch with staff of the Jiangxi Provincial Education Department and an official reception, organized by the Office of Foreign Affairs of Jiangxi Province. In addition to the working meetings, the Ukrainian delegation was offered a rich cultural program consisting of an excursion to the historical Tenwang temple and the Jinggshan Mountains, which are linked to the Chinese Revolution and the historic formation of the People's Republic of China. During all meetings, Mykola Izha informed Chinese representatives about the history and development of the Ukrainian national system of training of civil servants and the activities of the NAPA under the President of Ukraine and the Odessa Regional Institute as the leading educational institutions in this field. The Director of the Institute expressed his sincere gratitude to the organizers of the visit, namely: heads of educational institutions, officials of public authorities and diplomats for the opportunity for the Ukrainian delegation to directly familiarize themselves with the activities of the leading universities of the PRC. The result of the study visit, which was possible thanks to the long-term partnership of the Institute with the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Odessa, should be the further intensification of academic contacts with Chinese partners.






Natalia Nefyodova, leading specialist of the Communications Department, and postgraduate student at the Department of Economic and Financial Policy, Natalia Rosmaritsina, were selected on a competitive basis for the second EU Study Days for Alumi held from 14 to 15 September in Kyiv. The project, realised by the European Union Representative Office in Ukraine, provided participants with the opportunity to attend lectures of well-known diplomats and ask questions to the Head of the EU Delegation in Ukraine, Mr. Mingarelli. The participants also learned about new academic opportunities through alumni of the Erasmus+ programme, College of Europe graduates. In addition to this, the participants became acquainted with the different funding possibilities available for studying in the European Union. The rich and interactive programme allowed for a dialogue about the future of Ukraine and the future of the Association of Graduates of the European School. During these two days, the representatives of the Institute were inspired by the work of their colleagues, representing the Young European Ambassadors, and presented their own project. Participants of the forum also noted that they are ready to work on the creation of an active group of young people in Odessa, because they are the future of active youth. They are the ones who are able to flexibly respond to reforms in the country and create a successful future together.




Successful organization of the Ukrainian-Polish Autumn School

Between the 10th and the 14th of September 2018, - the Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine hosted the Ukrainian-Polish Autumn School which was held in cooperation with the University of Bialystok. The ceremonial opening of the event, in which eight representatives from the University of Bialystok took part, was led by Institute First Deputy Director Mykola Popov, Management and Business Technologies, Faculty Dean Yuliia Yevstiunina, Associate Professor of the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Department Andrii Maiev and Leading Specialist of the Communication Department Natalia Nefodova. The programme provided for presentations and discussions on a wide range of issues concerning public service reform, training of management personnel, providing administrative services, development of civil society, etc. The speakers during the programme consisted of scientific and teaching staff, PhD students, and other staff of the Institute, who prepared engaging presentations. During the Autumn School, students of the University of Bialystok also became acquainted with the facilities of the institute, a dedicated room for classes in public speaking, a distance-learning centre, and met staff of the Department of Project Management. On September 13, the Polish representatives visited the EU Information Centre at the Odessa National University of Economics, where they learned about the Information Centre's history, its main tasks, as well as its cooperation with the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine. At the official closing of the autumn school, Mykola Popov congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the programme and provided the participants with certificates of participation. On behalf of the Polish delegation, the head of the Polish delegation Dr. Jaroslaw Matwiejuk, sincerely thanked all the representatives of the institute for the rich and diverse programme, the excellent organisation and the hospitality of the organisers. During their stay in Odessa, members of the Polish delegation had an opportunity to become acquainted with the historical and cultural monuments of the city, as well as to experience the atmosphere of the Southern Palmyra on the Black Sea coast. A striking combination of the Ukrainian folk song and dance in the opera A Zaporozhian Beyond the Danube, presented at the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre provided the guests with unforgettable memories. The binational Autumn School was another practical step in the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the partner institutions, which was signed on the 7th of July 2015.




The Institutes representative visited the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Odessa

On August 15, 2018, ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine Communications Department Leading Specialist Andrii Maiev visited the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Odessa and met with the Honorary Consuls assistant Mrs. Hanna Bevzenko. The Consulate representative was passed the copies of ORIPA NAPA scientific journal with the article New Stage of Kazakhstan Social Development by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Mr. Samat Ordabayev. The parties expressed their hope for continuing professional contacts and holding joint events in the future.




The Institutes representative became the participant of the International Summer Multiculturalism School in Baku (Azerbaijan)

On July 29 August 09, 2018, Economic and Financial Policy Department PhD student Mrs. Nataliia Rozmaritsyna took part in the VII International Summer Multiculturalism The Baku process 10th Anniversary as a Contribution to the Development of Intercultural Dialogue School in Baku City (Azerbaijan). 32 candidates from 29 world countries have been chosen to take part in the schools work. The participants travelled to the historic and cultural sites of the country, as well as got acquainted with national minorities, such as Udines and Molokans. The school program was based on theoretical material presented by the best researchers. A number of lecture sessions in the round table format were also held by representatives of Azerbaijan Republic state institutions. Every evening the participants had the opportunity to prepare a thematic event and present their Motherlands culture and traditions.




The Institutes representatives took part in the Library Georgia meeting

On July 18, 2018, Odessa National Scientific Library hosted the Library Georgia meeting having been organized with the assistance of the Consul General of Georgia in Odessa Mr. Tornike Berekashvili. The event was visited by the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia (GNPL) CEO Giorgi Kekelidze, GNPL Library Resources Department Head Livan Taktakishvili, as well as the librarians from Odessa region. Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine was represented by the acting Library Head Olga Kudryavtseva and Communications Department Deputy Head Tetyana Folgina. The meeting was aimed at deepening the cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, and it was emphasized by a festive signing of the Cooperation Memorandum between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia ND Odessa national Scientific Library. In the network of the meeting, the guests had an opportunity to discuss the possible cooperation options, considering the peculiarities of the library funds e-versions placement platforms, and the public use library directories.




The delegation of the institute visited the Loughborough University (Great Britain)

From July 9 to July 13, 2018, the delegation of the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine headed by the Director Mykola Izha had a working visit to the School of Arts, English Language and Drama of the Loughborough University (Great Britain). In addition to the head of the institution, the delegation included: the head of the Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Department Natalia Kolisnichenko, professor of the Humanitarian and Socio-Political Sciences Department Svetlana Ovcharenko and leading specialist of the Communications Department Andrii Maiev.





The representative of the Iasi university (Romania) worked as a trainee at the institute under the "ERASMUS +" program

From 2 till 6 July 2018, Gabriela Chernenko, head of the financial department of the University of Alexanderu Ioan Cusa (Iasi, Romania), was worked as a trainee at the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine.






Director of the institute Mykola Izha met with the representatives of the Chinese Consulate-General in Odessa

On June 26, 2018, the Director of the Institute, Mykola Izha, met Zhao Xiangrong, Chinese Consulate-General in Odessa, and Consul-General, vice-general counsulate Chen Yuyong, and vice consulate Yu Zhouulin. The meeting was attended by well-known politician, member of the Public Council of the Institute Serhiy Grinevetskyi, chairman of the NGO Odesa-Shanghai 1871 Boris Voloshenkov and a leading specialist of the Communications Department Andrii Maiev. Mykola Izha thanked the Chinese diplomats for their continued support of professional ties with Chinese partners and assistance in conducting joint communicative activities. Both sides expressed their hopes for further development of bilateral cooperation.




Ukrainian-Turkish Local Self-Government and Regional Development: Modern Challenges for Turkey and Ukraine Summer School held at the Institute

On June 11 14, 2018, Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine hosted the Ukrainian-Turkish Local Self-Government and Regional Development: Modern Challenges for Turkey and Ukraine Summer School having been held in the network of cooperation with the Public Administration Institute for Turkey and Middle East (TODAIE, Ankara City, Turkey).

On June 14, 2018, Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine received a delegation of JiangXi FengLin College of Foreign Economy and Trade.






The Institutes representatives visited the Berlin Economics and Law School

On May 28 31, 2018, the representatives of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine visited the Berlin School of Economics and Law (Federal Republic of Germany). The delegation consisted of I. Matvyeyenko, Scientific Work Coordination and Doctorate Department Deputy Head, and Y. Lvova, State Studies and Law Department Associate Professor. The educational visit to Berlin was held in the network of the Project carried out by the German-Ukrainian Governance School with the financial assistance of the German International Cooperation Society (GIZ). During the studies, the issues of the public servants interdisciplinary training, Bachelors internships at the municipal authorities, peculiarities of the German legislation on the state procurement and social security, as well as the scenarios of assisting the European cooperation in education were discussed. In the network of the educational trip, NAPA regional institutes representatives visited the Federal Labor and Social Affairs Ministry, Berlin City Administrative Court, and also took part in a didactic training at the Berlin Higher Education Center. All the participants received the according certificates.

On May 28, 2018, the Leading Specialists of ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine Communications Department, and Public Management and Administering Faculty Deanery Nataliya Nefyodova and Olha Gramatyk, at the invitation of Ukraines United Azerbaijanis Congress, took part in the festive celebrations on occasion of the Azerbaijani Democratic Republics 100th anniversary.





The Institutes representatives took part in a festive reception on occasion of the National Holiday of Georgia

On May 25, 2018, Communications Department Deputy Head and Leading Specialist Tetyana Folgina and Andrii Maiev, as well as the In-Service Training Department State Order Seminars Organization Sector Head Natalia Pryvalova visited the festive reception dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia.

On the 22th of May at the public administration and regionalism department during the Festival of Science the preliminary consideration of K. Chabanovas Ph.D. thesis Devolution as a mechanism of governance at regional and local levels took place. (The Thesis for a Candidate Degree in Public Administration. Specialization 25.00.04 local self-government; scientific advisor: Sahanenko S.E., Ph.D. in Public administration, professor). The abstract and presentation of scientific research results were prepared in English. The decision to move for the next stage of thesis consideration on the expended session of the department was the result of dissertation research discussion.




The Institutes representatives took part in Europe Day celebration

On May 18, 2018, Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies (ONAFT) hosted a festive concert show dedicated to the Europe Day. The event was also attended by the representatives of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine: Communications Department Deputy Head Tetyana Folgina, Communications Department Head Specialist Andrii Maiev, and Organizations Management Department Associate Professor Tetyana Butenko. ONAFT Rector Professor Bogdan Yegorov and the event organizer Odessa La Pipelette Arts and Languages Culture Center Head Jean-Claude Charbonnel greeted the audience warmly, and emphasized the crucial importance of the European unity fest for the modern Ukraine. During the concert, Odessas national art collectives performed varied productions with the elements of the cultural and ethnical peculiarities, having thus presented the European countries: Poland, Bulgaria, Georgia, France and Ukraine. The Institutes representatives thanked the organizers for having been invited, and expressed their hoping on the further cooperation.


The Institutes Deputy Director visited the Public Administration Academy (Republic of Moldova)

On May 17 18, 2018, Mykola Kiseolar, Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Development Deputy Director of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, held a working visit to the Public Administration Academy (Republic of Moldova, Chisinau City). The Institutes representative took part in the plenary session of the International Public Administration Theory and Practice Scientific and Practical Conference, having also been attended by the leading scientists and practical public administrators from Moldova, Romania, Czech Republic, Germany and Ukraine. On May 18, in the network of the festive meeting dedicated to the Academys 25th anniversary, Mykola Kiseolar, on behalf of the Institutes Director Mykola Izha, greeted the management and all the team of the Moldavian partner establishment. The both sides expressed their hoping on the continuation of the cooperation, and the fruitful bilateral cooperation development. After the official festivities, Mykola Kiseolar and the other honorary guests visited the famous Mile?tii Mici winery.


Public Administration in Poland: Tasks and Responsibilities Seminar

On May 7 11, 2018, Public Management and Administering Faculty students together with the Institutes First Deputy Director Mykola Popov and the Faculty Dean Ihor Kusplyak took part in the Public Administration in Poland: Tasks and Responsibilities Seminar, which was held at Lech Kaczynski National School of Public Administration (KSAP, Warsaw). During a week, the representatives of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine were studying Polands public administering and civil service system, and got acquainted with the role of KSAP in this system, researched the organizational and legal grounds of local self-government in the country, took part in training sessions dedicated to social and psychological conditions of corruption, leaders role in management, and familiarized themselves with the best practices of communication between the state establishments and citizens. Besides, the Institute representatives, visited Grodzisk Mazowiecki Gmina, where they had an opportunity to meet the wojt (city mayor) and see the say the settlements infrastructure is developing. During the meeting, special attention was drawn to the issues of the territories spatial planning, social aid system, communitys financial capacity, interaction of the authorities and the business sector etc. This event was held with the support and financial aid of Study Tours to Poland Program implemented by the Changes Leaders Foundation.


The representatives of the foreign HEIs took part in the Institutes Students Conference

On April 26, 2018, Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine hosted the XIX All-Ukrainian Modern Management: Models, Strategies, Technologies Annual Students Scientific and Practical Conference. The Institute did receive foreign guests representing its foreign partners HEIs, too: Tatiana Tofan, Public Administration Academy Economics and Public Management Department Head (Republic of Moldova, Chisinau City), as well as the Academys postgraduate students Diana Chiriac and Anna Varzari, and student Aliona Grecu. On top of that, Lia Khatiashvili, postgraduate student from the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer (Federal Republic of Germany) visited the Conference for a second time. The foreign scientists held a meeting with the Institute Director Mykola Izha, who thanked them for having visited the Conference, and emphasized the crucial importance of scientific cooperation between the partner Higher Education Establishments. The parties expressed their being ready to keep on assisting the professional contacts between the young scientists. The researchers from Moldova and Germany presented their speeches at the plenary and thematic sessions, and the best ones were marked off with diplomas. Afterwards, the scientists took part in the scientific discussions with their Ukrainian colleagues.

The Institutes representatives took part in Polish-Ukrainian Law Spring School at Bialystok University

On April 16 22, 2018, the group of representatives of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine consisting of Management and Business Technologies Faculty Dean Yuliia Yevstiunina, Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Department Head Natalia Kolisnichenko, as well as 6 Institute students, studied at the Polish-Ukrainian Law Spring School at Bialystok City University. During a week, the participants of the event were studying Constitutional, European, Administrative, Civil and Labor Law at the Universitys Law Faculty, got acquainted with the educational process organization peculiarities, educational and methodological materials, scientific editions, as well as the students self-government activity in one of the leading Polish universities. In the network of the visit, ORIPA NAPA delegation attended meetings with the HEIs administration representatives: Rectors Proxy for International Affairs Dr Jaroslaw Matwiejuk and Law Faculty Dean Prof. Dr Hab. Emil Walenty Plywaczewski, who presented novelties of the scientific literature on Law to the Institute. As a result of the studies, all the Spring School participants received the according certificates. During the visit, the joint work experience was being highlighted at the state TV channels and Bialystok City radio, where the ORIPA NAPA representatives provided interviews and shared their impressions. In the network of an interesting excursion program, the Spring School students got acquainted with Podlaskie Voivodeship culture and traditions, visited Suprasl City, and one of the most outstanding Polish monasteries the Suprasl Lavra. The joint Polish-Ukrainian Law Spring School created new traditions of cooperation between the partner higher educational establishments.

The Institutes representatives took part in the Romanian cultural event

On April 24, 2018, Odessa Literature Museum hosted the cultural and educational event Romanian Culture Evening, organized by Odessa Regional Peace Council and the Consulate General of Romania in Odessa. The evening was attended by the famous politicians and public figures, public servicemen, foreign diplomatic missions heads, artists and journalists. Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine was represented by the Global Studies, European Integration and National Safety Management Department Associate Professor Ivan Usatyuk, Communications Department Head Specialist Andrii Maiev, as well as the Public Management and Administering Faculty students Khrystyna Halayko, Maryana Kucheruk, Mariana Frontovska and Maksym Muryzhnikov.



The Institutes representatives took part in the Georgian-Ukrainian patriotic event

On April 14, 2018, Odessa Literature Museum hosted the Georgian-Ukrainian Motherland Language Faith! patriotic event. The event was attended by the public servicemen, foreign diplomats, cultural figures, non-governmental organizations and cultural societies representatives. Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine was represented by Public Administration and Regional Studies Department Associate Professor Nataliya Pirozhenko, Communications Department Deputy Head Tetyana Folgina, and the Departments Head Specialist Andrii Maiev.



The Institutes representatives took part in the Career Day organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine

On April 11, 2018, Odessa National Economic University (ONEU) hosted the Career Day an amplitudinous informational event organized with the support of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine. The event was attended by ONEU rector Mikhaylo Zveryakov, ONEU EU Information Center Director Iryna Shostak, Career Day Project Coordinator Oleksandra Ryazantseva, Erasmus+ Educational Program Manager Kateryna Zhdanova, as well as the young lecturers, scientists and Odessas HEIs students.



The Institutes representative held a meeting with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Odessa

On April 5, 2018, ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine Communications Department Head Specialist Andrii Maiev met with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Odessa Sergey Prodayevych. During the meeting, the Honorary Consul was provided with information on the Institutes activities and was invited to establish bilateral cooperation. The parties discussed the involvement of Kazakh diplomats and experts in the educational process at the Institute, as well as the possibility of informing the Kazakh youth about the educational proposals of the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine.

On March 25, 2018, the Communications Department Head Specialist of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine Andrii Maiev took part in a festive reception on occasion of the National holiday of Greece. The event at Bristol Hotel has been organized by the Consulate General of the Hellenic Republic in Odessa.





ORIPA NAPA welcomed the delegation of the Public Administration Institute for Turkey and Middle East

On March 12, 2018, Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine welcomed the official delegation of the Public Administration Institute for Turkey and Middle East (TODAIE, Ankara City, Turkey) featuring Onur Ender Aslan, TODAIE General Director, Sutay Yavuz, Director of the Center for Foreign Relations, and Yevgeniya Gaber, the Second Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine to Turkey.





Multiculturalism the Basis of Stability and Peace Round Table held at the Institute

On March 6, 2018, Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine hosted the Multiculturalism the Basis of Stability and Peace Round Table organized jointly with the Official Representative Office of Baku Multiculturalism Center on Moldova, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria.







The Institute representatives took part in the International conference in Chisinau City

On February 23, 2018, Communications Department Head Specialist Andrii Maiev, and Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine postgraduate students Oksana Yelchiyeva, Ivan Komarovskiy, Olga Psareva and Oleg Rogulskiy visited Moldova Republic Public Administration Academy in order to take part in the International Young Researchers Contribution into the Public Administration Development Conference. The conference is annually held by the Academys Administrative Sciences Department, and this year, it united the young scientists from the different HEIs of Moldova and foreign countries.



The Institutes representative became the participant of the International Winter Multiculturalism School in Baku (Azerbaijan)

On February 12 18, 2018, ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine Public Management and Administering Faculty student Maxim Imeridze took part in the International Winter Multiculturalism Civilizations Dialogue: New Challenges School in Baku City (Azerbaijan). On a competitive basis, 30 candidates from 17 world countries have been chosen to take part in the schools work. Aside from the Azerbaijani capital, the participants visited the cities of Quabala and Shamakhi, along with the historical Ivanovka village, got acquainted with the multiculturalism policy, the countrys history, found out new information about its ethnic, cultural and religious diversity. On top of that, they had an opportunity to prepare a thematic event, and present their Motherlands culture and traditions. During the festive Winter School closing ceremony, the students and young specialists from different world countries expressed sincere gratitude to its management, and several of them, including Maxim Imeridze, gave interviews to the Azerbaijani Culture Plus TV Channel. The participation of the Institutes representative in the event became the first practical result of realizing the Cooperation Agreement having been signed between Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine and the Official Representative Office of Baku Multiculturalism Center on Moldova, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria on September 8, 2017.





The Institutes Director held a meeting with the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Odessa

On February 13, 2018, Mr. Mykola Izha, the Director of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, visited the Consulate General of the Peoples Republic of China in Odessa to hold a meeting with the diplomatic institutions Head Mrs. Zhao Xiangrong. Mr. Izha greeted the Consul General with the Chinese New Year, wished her prosperity and new achievements, and also expressed his hoping on the partner relations continuation and strengthening. In the network of the meeting, the parties discussed the bilateral cooperation development, i. e. organizing educational and cultural events at ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine, and further support of the Institutes professional contacts with the Chinese partners by the Consulate General.





The Institutes representatives took part in the Romania Ukraine 2014 2020 Joint Operational Programs information session

On January 30, 2018, the Romania Ukraine 2014 2020 Joint Operational Programs information session was held at Odessa Regional Council. The event featured the representatives of the public authorities, higher education institutions, and non-governmental organizations. Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine was represented by the Humanitarian and Socio-Political Studies Department Professor Svitlana Ovcharenko, Global Studies, European Integration and National Security Management Department Associate Professor Viktor Komarovskiy, and Communications Department Head Specialist Andrii Maiev.





German-Ukrainian Ukraine: Conflicts, Crises and Reforms Students Seminar held at the Institute

On January 23 27, 2018, German-Ukrainian Ukraine: Conflicts, Crises and Reforms Students Seminar was taking place at Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine. The event was held jointly with Berlin School of Economics and Law (Federal Republic of Germany), and featured the students of both the Ukrainian HEI and the German partner education institution.
