Between September 9-13, 2019, the Institute hosted the II Ukrainian-Polish Autumn School, which was implemented within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement with the University of Bialystok (Poland).
On September 9, at the grand opening of the event, which was attended by eight representatives of the Polish HEI, the Director of the Institute Mykola Izha, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business Technologies Violetta Vishnevska and Head of the International Cooperation Department Nataliia Nefedova addressed to the participants with welcoming speeches. From the Polish side, the audience was greeted and wished the productive work by Dr. Jaroslaw Matwiejuk Rector's Proxy for Cooperation with Eastern European Universities.
The program provided by ORIPA NAPA included the introduction to the Ukrainian culture and traditions (Nataliia Nefodova), the historical heritage of Odesa (Natalia Akymenko), modern trends of the territorial organization of power reforming in Ukraine (Andrii Maiev), the legal proceedings' system in Ukraine (Kateryna Rovinska), the role of public speaking in the professional activity of the manager (Yuliia Yevstiunina). Polish students learned about the principles of successful team work (Nataliia Privalova), were able to participate in the team building (Daria Suslina) and knew more about the service in local government (Oleg Rogulskyy).
Autumn school participants were also able to integrate themselves into student life and feel part of the ORIPA NAPA family by taking part in a traditional business game-quest organized by Head of Communication Department Tetiana Folhina, Senior teacher of the Project Management Department Kateryna Peklun.
A great opportunity to get acquainted with current trends in the field of administrative services and to compare the Ukrainian and Polish systems was a meeting of students with the head of the Department of the Malinovsky Center for the Provision of Administrative Services of the Odesa City Council Denis Kravchenko. Also, students were invited to the excursion to the Central Center for the Provision of Administrative Services.
On September 13, at the solemn closing of the Autumn School, the First Deputy Director of the institute Mykola Popov presented certificates to all participants and congratulated them on the successful completion of their studies. For his part, the head of Polish delegation, Dr. Jaroslaw Matwiejuk, thanked all the representatives of the Institute for an intense and interesting program, for organizing a high-level event, and invited Ukrainian colleagues to visit Bialystok in May 2020.
The second joint Autumn School was another practical step in the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between partner institutions, signed on July 07, 2015.
