From 17 to 25 June 2019, representatives of the Institute participated in the German-Ukrainian-Kazakh Summer School "Crisis and Reforms, Rule of Law and Democracy" in Berlin (Germany).
The educational event was conducted in the partner institution – the Higher School of Economics and Law with funding of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). 30 young specialists from different corners of Ukraine, Germany, and Kazakhstan were selected on a competitive basis and became participants of the program. From the side of the Institute, the students of the Public Management and Administering Faculty Denys Kravchenko, Daria Pushkareva and the student of the Management and Business Technologies Faculty Andrii Rizov took part in the project.
At the opening of the event diplomats from the embassies of the participating countries, as well as the leadership of the host higher education institution delivered solemn speeches. The program provided training events allowing the participants to share their thoughts with experts in public administration, criminology, political science and law. Also, the new experience and practical knowledge were obtained outside the classroom, namely: at the Administrative Court of Berlin, the City Police Department and the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The training was carried out in the formats of workshops and business games, which contributed to the quality assimilation of information through the high intensity of group interaction. Given that the working language of the summer school was English, Ukrainian graduates also had the opportunity to improve professional foreign language skills.
At the end of the summer school, the representatives of the institute received international certificates containing five ECTS credits.
