On May 19 – 26, 2019, the group of representatives of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine in a group of 8 people, studied at the III Polish-Ukrainian Law Spring School at Bialystok City University, which was carried out within the framework of the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation between partner institutions. The delegation included associate professor of the Department of Management of Organizations Natalia Akimenko, associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Languages Andrey Mayev, post-graduate students and students of the Faculty of Management and Business Technologies.
The Spring School program provided lectures on Constitutional arrangements of the Republic of Poland, criminal and financial law, the functioning of the administration at various levels, and interactive classes. Ukrainian participants had an opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the educational process at the University of Bialystok, which has 12,000 students and is the largest institution of higher education in the east of Poland. Also, for the delegation was held an excursion to the Museum of Biology and Chemistry faculty, which contains rare exhibits, collected by the scientists of the institution.
On May 25, during the solemn closing of the spring school, the rector of the Polish HEI for cooperation with the universities of Eastern Europe, Professor Jaroslaw Matwiejuk presented the certificates to all participants and emphasized the positive results of the bilateral cooperation, which lasts from 2017. The Ukrainian delegation's leaders thanked the organizers for their hospitality and invited Polish colleagues to visit Odessa in September 2019. The parties reached an agreement on the continuation of the organization of joint communicative activities, as well as the implementation of academic exchanges with the participation of scientific and pedagogical staff and the publication of scientific articles.
During their stay in Poland, representatives of the institute got acquainted with the historical and cultural monuments of the city of Bialystok, as well as visited the capital of the country – Warsaw.
