On March 29-30, 2019, Deputy head of the Department for Coordination of Scientific Research and Doctoral Studies Iryna Matvieienko and the student of the Public Management and Administering faculty Kateryna Shelestiuk took part in the First International Forum of Young Administrators. The scientific forum, held in the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk, brought together young scientists from Belorussian and foreign higher education institutions. The event was aimed at the development of research activities among students, postgraduates and young scientists, their involvement in solving the problems of modern science, as well as integration of science, practice and education.
The Institute representatives greeted the participants of the event on behalf of the leadership, made presentations and took part in discussions on topical issues of public administration and economic development, legal regulation of administrative activities in socio-economic systems, social and humanitarian development, as well as on the problems related to public administration in Belarus and abroad.
Kateryna Shelestiuk made a report The Role and Place of Participative Democracy in the Administration Process on the section on social and humanitarian issues and was awarded a Diploma for the Best Section Speech. The Forum program included the XXIII International Scientific and Practical Conference for Students Theoretical, Methodological and Applied Aspects of Public Administration, the Round Table for Young Scientists Youth in Public Administration: Politics, Law, Economics, training Practical Competences of Young Administrators, Brain-Ring, devoted to the history of the creation and formation of the Republic of Belarus, the case-championship School Case Study and the students performance Pinska gentry.
The Ukrainian representatives met with the rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus Professor H. Palchyk. During the meeting, the sides discussed the possibilities of bilateral cooperation development, in particular in publishing and scientific spheres. They discussed the issues of holding joint events in video-conference format, as well as holding a joint Summer School for Young Scientists in Odessa.
The readiness for further publication of the scientific papers in specialized editions, as well as participation in conferences held by partner institutions was confirmed.
