On February 15, 2019, at the invitation of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Odessa, the representatives of the institute visited the festive opening of the photo exhibition devoted to the 40th anniversary of reforms and openness policy in China. The event that took place in the Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art, was attended by the Director of the institute Professor Mykola Izha, Head of the sector for the organization of seminars by state order of the personnel in-service training department Mrs. Nataliia Pryvalova and Acting head of International Cooperation Department Mrs. Nataliia Nefodova. Among the guests there were also the representatives of public authorities of the South of Ukraine, diplomatic missions, educational institutions, mass media, as well as the Chinese diaspora in Odessa.
Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Odessa Mr. Sun Liucun and public bodies representatives addressed solemn speeches on the occasion of the exhibition opening. The Consul General drew attention to the fact that the reform and openness policy not only changed the Chinese nation destiny, but also influenced the whole world.
During the event, the participants discussed the photo works presented at the exhibition, and revealing the history of the Chinese reforms in different fields – economy, industry, culture and sports. The exhibition visitors were also offered magazines and books devoted to the reforms of the Celestial Empire. The photo exhibition was accompanied by the live melody of the traditional Chinese musical instrument – Guzheng.
Mykola Izha personally thanked the Consul General for the invitation and expressed his hope for further cooperation development.
