On July 29 – August 09, 2018, Economic and Financial Policy Department PhD student Mrs. Nataliia Rozmaritsyna took part in the VII International Summer Multiculturalism “The Baku process 10th Anniversary as a Contribution to the Development of Intercultural Dialogue” School in Baku City (Azerbaijan). 32 candidates from 29 world countries have been chosen to take part in the school’s work. The participants travelled to the historic and cultural sites of the country, as well as got acquainted with national minorities, such as Udines and Molokans.
The school program was based on theoretical material presented by the best researchers. A number of lecture sessions in the round table format were also held by representatives of Azerbaijan Republic state institutions. Every evening the participants had the opportunity to prepare a thematic event and present their Motherland’s culture and traditions.
Thanks to the summer school, the PhD student Nataliia Rosmaritsyna learned about multiculturalism policy, received an idea of the ethnic, cultural and religious diversity of the country, joined the International NGO “Club of Young Friends of Azerbaijan”.
During the festive Summer School closing ceremony, students, researchers and young specialists from different world countries expressed sincere gratitude to its organizers, and several of them, including Mrs. Rozmaritsyna, gave interviews to the Azerbaijani “Culture Plus” and “CBC” TV Channels.
The participation of the Institute’s representative in the event became another practical result of realizing the Cooperation Agreement having been signed between Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine and the Official Representative Office of Baku Multiculturalism Center on Moldova, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria on September 8, 2017.
