Operational Program's information session was held at Odessa Regional Council. The event featured the representatives of the public authorities, higher education institutions, and non-governmental organizations. Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine was represented by the Humanitarian and Socio-Political Studies Department Professor Svitlana Ovcharenko, Global Studies, European Integration and National Security Management Department Associate Professor Viktor Komarovskiy, and Communications Department Head Specialist Andrii Maiev.
In the beginning of the event, the guests were greeted by Odessa Regional Council Head Anatoliy Urbanskiy, Odessa Regional State Administration Head Maksim Stepanov, Odessa RSA Deputy Head Svitlana Shatalova, Consul General of Romania in Odessa Emil Rapcea, and Odessa RSA Investment, International and Interregional Cooperation Department Head Diana Dobriy. The officials emphasized that "Romania - Ukraine 2014 - 2020" Joint Operational Program is an effective cross-border cooperation tool, which contributes to the economic development of the territories, improvement of the population's living standards, as well as tightening of the friendly connections between the countries.
During the seminar, the representatives of the Regional Cross-Border Cooperation Office of Suceava City (Romania) presented their reports, and informed the audience about the Program's aims and objectives, requirements for the project proposals contest, and the basic evaluation process principles.
In the end of the information session, the program representatives answered the audience's numerous questions concerning the mechanism of searching for the Romanian partners, peculiarities of the project partners' implementing the co-financing, as well as the other aspects of the project proposals' preparing and submitting.
