The All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical International “Reforming the Public Management and Administering: Theory, Practice and International Experience” Conference having taken place at Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine on October 27, 2017, was attended by the representatives of the Institute’s foreign partner higher educational institutions (HEIs).
The Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Moldova (Chisinau City) was represented by a delegation featuring the Rector Mr. Oleg Balan, Deputy Rector for Scientific Affairs Mr. Aurel Simboteanu, and Administrative Sciences Department Senior Lecturer Sergey Palikhovich. Professor Oleg Balan addressed the conference participants with a greeting, and the Assistant Professor Aurel Simboteanu presented his “Strategical Grounds of the Public Administration Reform of the Republic of Moldova” speech at the panel discussion.
For the first time, ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine greeted the representative of the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration, Police and Administration of Justice of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Land (Gustrow, FRG) Professor Holger Franke. On October 26, Professor Franke discussed the prospects of further cooperation with the Institute’s First Deputy Director Mr. Mykola Popov, and held a thematic “Socio-Political Situation in FRN in the Parliamentary Elections Context” meeting with the Institute’s students and postgraduate students. On October 27, Professor Franke greeted the conference participants on behalf of the German university’s managerial board and presented his “Germany’s Public Servicemen Training on the Example of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Land” speech at the panel discussion.
The Romanian HEIs have also been widely represented at the scientific communicative event: “Lower Danube” University in Galaţi City (Doctor Valentina Cornea), Alexandru Ioan Cuza University Philosophy and Socio-Political Studies Faculty in Iași City (Doctor Gheorghe-Ilie Farte and Doctor Bogdan Ștefanachi), this HEI’s Economics and Business Administering Faculty (Doctor Irina-Teodora Manolescu). The Romanian scientists presented their speeches at the sectional meetings of the conference, and had an opportunity to discuss professional matters with their Ukrainian colleagues.
Aside from taking part in the conference, the foreign guests had an Institute tour organized for them, when they had an opportunity to visit the museum exposition, educational audiences, concert hall, as well as to communicate the Regional Policy and Public Administering Department lecturers.
