On September 11, 2017, the festive opening ceremony of the educational ‚ÄúEuropean Union‚Äôs Economics: EU and Ukraine‚Äôs Relations‚ÄĚ course carried out in the network of the European Jean Monnet Educational Program took place in Odessa National Economic University (ONEU). The event was participated by the following representatives of Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine: International Relations Sector Head A. Maiev, intern Elias Schempf, Public Management and Administering Faculty students A. Artemenko-Didenko, A. Pryshchak, M. Frontovska, and Management and Business Technologies Faculty students A. Ustyanska and G. Nalbandyan.
ONEU Rector, Professor M. Zvyeryakov launched the event, and emphasized that the program had been successfully realized since 2015. On top of that, Mr. Zvyeryakov emphasized the importance of getting acquainted with the modern European experience when training new professionals. In his turn, the course academic coordinator Professor Alvaro Fernandez (Portugal) thanked all the higher academic institutions having joined the program, and expressed his hope for a successful and fruitful cooperation. The representatives of partner HEIs including Odessa National Polytechnic University, Odessa National I. I. Mechnikov University and ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine also addressed the audience with welcome speeches.
Mr. A. Maiev greeted the participants of the event on behalf of the Institute‚Äôs administration, and thanked the organizers for an invitation to join the European educational program. It‚Äôs been especially emphasized that the practical knowledge in the European integration sphere is an essential component of training the public administrators and managers. After the festive opening ceremony, the Public Management and Administering Faculty student A. Artemenko-Didenko gave an interview to Odessa mass media, telling about her expectations concerning her participation in the program.
It‚Äôs the second consecutive time the students of ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine will be taking part in this educational course, which would include lections on European integration, EU economics, and EU‚Äôs relations with Ukraine issues. All the lectures will be held in English language.
