On 28 April 2017, the director of the institute, Professor Mykola Izha, met with representatives of the Małopolska School of Public Administration (MSAP) at the Cracow University of Economics: The director of the school, Dr. Krzystof Głuc, and the project manager, Marek Oramus.
During the meeting, Dr. Głuc talked about the Cracow University of Economics, one of the leading educational economic-related institutes in Poland with more than 20.000 students being enrolled. Moreover, he provided information on educational, research and advisory activities of the Małopolska School of Public Administration. In particular, Dr. Głuc focused on postgraduate education courses, which are implemented on commercial basis.
From his side, Prof. Mykola Izha made the guests familiar with the main activities of the institute, faculties, specialties, new specializations, as well as work experience in international projects.
In the course of the meeting, the possibilities within the framework of the DOBRE project (Decentralization Offering Better Results and Efficiency) were discussed. The MSAP is one of the participants in this project, which has been being implemented since 2016 and is funded by the US Agency of International Development (USAID). This project aims to support the decentralization and the development of joint communities in 7 regions of Ukraine. Dr. Głuc suggested joining the institute in the consortium of the project, which should be finalized in the period between July and September 2017. Additionally, a preliminary agreement was reached on establishing professional cooperation and signing a bilateral framework agreement between the ORIPA NAPA under the President of Ukraine and the Polish educational institution.
At the end of the meeting, both sides noted its prosperous character and expressed their hopes for a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
