On March 25, 2017, Odessa Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine’s (ORIPA NAPA) International Relations Department Head Mr. Andrii Maiev took part in the festive reception on occasion of the National holiday of Greece. The event was organized by the Consulate General of Greece (the Hellenic Republic) in Odessa, and took place in “Renaissance” Banquet Hall.
The reception was visited by: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece in Ukraine Mr. Georgios Poukamissas, Consul General of Greece in Odessa Mrs. Despina Koukoulopoulou, Ukrainian MFA representative Mr. Konstantin Rzhepishevskiy, Odessa Regional Council Deputy Head Mr. Yuri Dimchoglo, Odessa City Council Secretary Mr. Oleksiy Potapskiy, foreign diplomatic missions’ heads, representatives of the higher educational institutions, clergy, Greek diaspora and mass media.
The Consul General of Greece in Odessa Mrs. Despina Koukoulopoulou addressed the audience with a solemn speech. She emphasized the Greek people’s difficult path to independence, the importance of the keeping glorious traditions, and striving towards the country’s development at the present stage. In his turn, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece in Ukraine Mr. Georgios Poukamissas highlighted the grand meaning of this holiday for all his countrymen, and stressed that Greece could overcome all the difficulties, and reach prosperity only in the single European family.
Mr. Maiev, on behalf of the ORIPA NAPA’s Director, greeted the Consul General in Odessa with the National holiday, expressed hope for further bilateral cooperation, and also invited the Consul to visit the Institute and get acquainted with its activity.
